Caring for Your Ethérnique Garments

Our garments are crafted from bamboo, organic cotton, eco viscose, silk, orange fabric, soybean fabric, and other delicate fabrics. Each piece deserves gentle, thoughtful care to preserve its beauty, shape, and longevity.

Washing

Machine wash on a gentle cycle at max. 30ºC / 86ºF. Short spin cycles are preferred to protect the fabric’s structure.

Hand washing in cold water is ideal for extremely delicate pieces.

Do not use bleach or harsh detergents, as they can weaken fibers and fade colors.

Use a mesh laundry bag to prevent friction and preserve texture.

Handle wet garments gently; never wring or twist.

Drying

Do not tumble dry. High heat can shrink, distort, or damage delicate fibers.

Lay garments flat or hang to dry in shade, away from direct sunlight, to preserve color and integrity.

Ironing & Pressing

Iron at low temperatures, max. 110ºC / 230ºF.

Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate surfaces, especially silk, viscose, and bamboo blends.

Steam ironing is recommended for textured or layered pieces.

Dry Cleaning

Some garments may benefit from professional dry cleaning using tetrachloroethylene.
Always inform your dry cleaner of the fabric type and any special details.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry environment.

Avoid overcrowding in your wardrobe to prevent creasing and stretching.

Fold delicate knits and silk blends instead of hanging, to maintain shape.

Use breathable garment bags for seasonal storage to protect from dust and insects.
